The biggest marketing scam since Valentines Day, Pepero Day was invented by Lotte (no matter how much they try to deny it) for lovers, students and friends to exchange chocolate-dipped bread sticks.
According to Wikipedia, “Lotte usually does about 55% of their Pepero business in November every year.”
Reason for Pepero Day being 11/11? It resembles four pepero sticks, of course.
I’ve been sick of Pepero since 2006. This is not a joke. And so, it is not difficult to discard (while they’re not looking of course) the random (unwrapped) two sticks passed to me by students who forget to wash their hands after picking noses and doing bathroom business.
