This cafe is so cozy. It’s pretty small, and has about 4-5 tables inside as well as 3-4 outside on the patio. Even though it’s small, I’ve seen people working with laptops there. They only have pastries and avocado toast for food, and great coffee options. They also have adult beverages at night.

Cuadra in Nuñez, Buenos Aires

Cuadra

Description:
This is a tiny corner spot near the Nuñez Mitre train stop. There are just a couple tables outside, none inside. The media luna tastes like heaven. The brownie is so rich it could buy you a yacht. I would recommend this place on a sunny day because of the lack of indoor seating. Otherwise it can get pretty windy on the corner.

The space is small, though I did see people working on their computers. There are tables both inside and out. The food proportions are generous. They have beautiful cakes and good coffee options. The people who work here are so nice. Even the bathrooms have a funky retro feel to them. You’ll love the sink!

Moshu Treehouse in Palermo

Moshu Treehouse

This place is so cute. All the decorations are created with recycled materials, with the intention to make you feel like you are inside of a tree. That is exactly how it feels. There is both a front and back patio where you can sit outside. The entire place has great ambience. They also have a fantastic breakfast menu, with a few vegan and vegetarian options available.

La Pain Quotidian

Day/Time: Everyday 8am – 9pm (Saturday & Sunday open at 9am)
Location:
Nicaragua 6002, C1414 CABA
Description:
This is a franchise around the city. I generally tend to stick to non-franchise cafes, however, I have to be honest. This cafe is really really good. The brunch option, which is for 2 people but could easily be for 3, is phenomenal. They give you a ton of items from fresh bread to hummus, salad, chia pudding, pastries, eggs, coffee, juice, etc. It was an absolute feast. It is located right on a corner with a ton of great outside seating.

CAFES IN SAN TELMO

Casa Telma

Day/Time: Tuesday – Saturday 9am – 8pm; closed Mondays.
Location:
Carlos Calvo 498, C1102 CABA
Description:
This corner cafe is incredibly cute with its blue trim and large windows. The sun comes in and warms you up. There is so much light. During the week it is quite quiet, and a great place to bring a book or get some work done. It’s very relaxed. However, on the weekends, it gets very crowded, and you’ll most likely need to add your name to a list and wait a bit. The food is very good and high quality. The salads are so beautiful, and there are several breakfast options. There are several tables on the main floor, but a few extra tables upstairs in the loft.

Hierbabuena

Day/Time: Everyday 9am – midnight; Mondays close at 5pm.
Location:
AAN, Av. Caseros 454, C1152 CABA
Description:
The entire street of Caseros is super cute but Hierbabuena really stands out. They have a ton of fresh juice options at affordable prices. They also have a great breakfast/brunch menu, including a few with delicious hollandaise sauce which I haven’t seen much in Argentina. This restaurant/cafe is not fully vegan/vegetarian, however, they do have a ton of options available. The indoor decor is super cute with a ton of stylish touches. The outdoor patio is also super cute, with awnings and tents providing shade. The only thing to note is that this street sees a lot of people selling socks and begging for change. So if you sit outside, this is something you should expect.

Nica Mercado in San Telmo

Nica Mercado

Day/Time: Thursday – Tuesday 9am – 8pm; Sundays open at 10am, closed on Wednesdays.
Location:
Bolívar 933, C1066 CABA
Description:
They have seating inside and outside on the patio. To be honest though, the seating along the wall is awkward because the height of the bench and the tables don’t match. Try sitting at one of the tables off the wall, or outside on the patio. But the food is very cute and the atmosphere is cute.
