Beach exit from Haeundae station, walking towards the ocean, I always try to look for clues of old Hauendae, the way it used to look when I first arrived to Korea in 2006.
I miss those days. I miss that old street.
What is now a double lane, modern paved road, lined with wide sidewalks and shiny new buildings, was once a bumpy, one lane “path” that lead its way towards the beach. On both sides were toast shops, snack shops and beach shops providing you with the latest in plastic footwear and matching couple beach “sweaters.”
Pedestrians and cars shared the same space and the pace was slow.
