If you ask a Korean, they will tell you Chuseok is like Thanksgiving. It involves some harvest, some giving thanks, some bowing, some ancestor worship, and if you’re a woman, an entire day in the kitchen while your husband and his family watch television.
To me, it means a four day weekend. And an overnight ferry trip to Jeju with the scooters.
Back up, back up, back up. Korea has other plans for me.
I’m not meant to go to Jeju this weekend. There can’t possibly be a bigger sign than the Friday ferry catching on fire. Trip cancelled.
Busan for Chuseok.

Agreed Marcus. Totally. But Jeju would have been fun too and you know it!! 🙂
Fair. I do know it.
